Dollar imperialism

Dollar imperialism was a term coined by the Soviet Foreign Minister Vyacheslav Molotov at the start of the Cold War; it was used in reference to the American government's Marshall Plan.[1]

The Soviet Union believed that the Marshall Plan was being used by the United States in an attempt to create a 'sphere of influence' in Western Europe after World War II. Dollar imperialism is prevalent in our world today, the US still flexes its economic power to accomplish her desires
